The Bukidnon Planters' Association, Inc. (BPA), a non-stock, non-profit corporation, was organized and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 8, 1976. The BPA was organized to serve the sugarcane planters in their relations with Bukidnon Sugar Milling Co., Inc., (BUSCO) the first sugar mill in the province of Bukidnon and the second in Mindanao. In 1981, the BPA moved to its permanent home in a compound with 4 buildings situated in Barrio Butong, Quezon, Bukidnon. In 1998, Crystal Sugar Milling Co. opened its doors as the second sugar mill in the district. The BPA mission is to protect the welfare and interests of the sugarcane planters working for a harmonious relationship between the mills and its members and surrounding communities and to promote the production and marketing of other agricultural produce. The BPA is committed to the promotion of a sustainable and responsible method of agriculture. To date the BPA has a 9 member Board of Directors and 9 member Planters' Committee along with 42 employees serving the interests of more than 4000 planter members farming an area of approximately 10,000 has. in the provinces of Bukidnon, Lanao del Sur and North Cotabato.
